You all know Autotune. The plug-in that T-Pain made famous in recent years by over using it? Yes some people like Cher used autotune many years before but it was T-Pain that brought it into the forefront of pop music for a while.
There are some freeware autotune like programs already out there like G-Snap, but a new contender has entered the market.
Called Autotalent, this is a VST port of Tom Baran's open source pitch correction LADSPA plug-in. All credit goes to Tom for the algorithm. At the moment it is designed to be used on a mono track, if used on a stereo track, the left channel will be copied to the right.
